Oklahoma Dispensary Purchase & Possession Limits Explained

The per-transaction limits

Oklahoma law caps what a dispensary can sell to a licensed patient or caregiver in a single transaction:

Flower: 3 ounces (84.9 grams)
Concentrates: 1 ounce (28.3 grams)
Edibles: 72 ounces of edible product
Plants: 6 mature plants and 6 seedlings

These are per-transaction limits. Oklahoma sets no daily or monthly purchase cap; the limit applies to each transaction.

The possession limits

What you can legally have is a separate set of numbers, and they are the ones that matter if you are ever asked:

On your person: up to 3 ounces of flower
At your residence: up to 8 ounces of flower
Concentrates: up to 1 ounce
Edibles: up to 72 ounces
Topicals: up to 72 ounces
Plants: up to 6 mature and 6 seedlings

"On your person" includes your car. Driving home with an ounce in the bag is within the limit; a bag with four ounces is not, no matter how you bought it.

How weight is counted

The limits are based on product weight, so a few details matter:

Flower is flower. Pre-rolls count toward the flower limit by their weight.
Concentrates include vape cartridges. A one-gram cart is one gram against your concentrate limit. Twenty-eight of them is the ceiling.
Edibles are measured by product weight, not THC. A pack of gummies that weighs two ounces uses two ounces of your 72, whether it contains 100 mg or 500 mg.

Practical translation

For most patients, the limits are never a factor. Three ounces of flower is 24 eighths. One ounce of concentrate is 28 one-gram cartridges. The limit you are most likely to bump into is the possession limit at home if you stock up on a great deal — eight ounces total, regardless of how many trips it took.

Without a license

Oklahoma treats possession of up to 1.5 ounces without a license as a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $400 and no jail time, provided the person can state a medical condition.
