How to Get an Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Card
Oklahoma is a medical-only state, so you need an OMMA patient or caregiver license to shop at any dispensary — including ours in Norman. Here is how the process works, what the state asks for, and what to do once you are approved.

The OMMA application, step by step
1. See an Oklahoma physician
An Oklahoma board-certified MD, DO or podiatrist completes and signs the OMMA physician recommendation form. Oklahoma does not publish a list of qualifying conditions — the recommendation is the physician's call.
2. Gather your documents
You will generally need proof of Oklahoma residency, a valid state photo ID, a clear digital photo of yourself, and the signed physician recommendation. Confirm the current checklist on the OMMA site before applying.
3. Apply online through OMMA
Applications go through the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority's licensing portal. The state sets the application fee and any reduced-fee options for Medicaid, Medicare and 100% disabled veterans.
4. Wait for the decision
OMMA reviews the application and notifies you by email. If something is missing, they tell you what to correct and resubmit.
5. Shop with your approved license
Once approved, bring your license (digital or printed) and matching photo ID to Pharmer's Market on Lindsey at 530 West Lindsey Street in Norman and we will help you pick a first product.
6. Renew before it expires
Adult patient licenses are normally issued for two years. Renew through the OMMA portal before the expiration date — we cannot sell on an expired license.
Visiting from out of state
Oklahoma offers a temporary patient license for visitors who already hold a medical marijuana card in another state. Apply through OMMA the same way, and bring the approved temporary license plus matching photo ID when you visit us on Lindsey Street.

- We cannot sell to an expired license. Renew through the OMMA portal first; once the new license is approved you can shop again immediately.
